Breakfast Smoothie

From Allrecipes

 

  • 1/2 cup nonfat milk
  • 1/2 cup fat-free plain yogurt
  • 1/2 frozen banana, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons powdered protein supplement
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flax seed
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
    1. In a blender, blend the milk, yogurt, banana, protein supplement, flax seed, honey, and strawberries until smooth.

    ***I use chocolate protein in this and I don’t use the flaxseed oil I use the normal flaxseed.

    Oatmeal Pancakes

    For those on a strict protein diet

    Recipe from a Body For Life website

    1 cup raw oats

  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 packets sweetener
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 30 seconds. Then pour onto a hot grill and cook like a normal pancake. An optional addition is to add some frozen fruit after the batter is blended

     

    * I like to add a scoop of peanut butter to the mix as well.
